ANCIENT PATHS FOR MODERN BOYS

1:1 MENTORSHIP

Both in-person and online; building intimate and sincere relationships with each of our boys is the core of the FATA ethos. We recognise the psychological and spiritual need for boys to receive individual acknowledgement, guidance, and companionship from male mentors.

online community

Building upon our growing in-person community, we have introduced an online component; which allows for digital workshops, regular communication, and relationship-building. Our online server has opened up our ethos to an international audience, all of whom now partake in a global brotherhood.

live EVENTS

We organise regular in-person events that not only focus on the transference of theoretical wisdom, but also on sacred forms of knowledge that can only be shared chest-to-chest and heart-to-heart.

OUR ETHOS

The masculine psyche seeks to be grounded in the knowledge of “its place” in the world; meaning that boys & men seek a King, an Order, a Way, and an Initiation.

All of which is available within the Islamic paradigm. And yet, Muslim boys in the West are subject to an artificial, ignorant and spiritually wounding way of life that is far from the authentic human experience that God intended for us.

A return of ancient wisdom is now necessary. We ask ourselves; what does it mean to be Man? What does it mean to lead a Sacred life? Where does Masculinity fit in the Sacred worldview?

That is the bread and butter of what FATA aims to deliver.

FATA aims to represent a way of Being together as men, that is moved by deep purpose, while fostering mutual love, growth and healing.

In the absence of the Sacred in the secular postmodern world, the structures that boys seek on a unconscious level -like Kingship, Warriorhood etc- are neglected as myth, and are projected onto celebrities or athletes; all of whom lead boys to nothing but shadow-initiations.

For this reason it is not surprising that so many boys have become psychologically and spiritually sick.

“…Lacking adequate models of mature men, and lacking the societal cohesion and institutional structures for actualizing ritual process, it’s “every man for himself.”
